ALL THREE BOOKS REVIEWED
Over the last 15 weeks I have read 3 books. Along the way I have reviewed each of them in my blogs. Now, I am going to review them all three one more time and give my final thoughts.
The first book I read
was "The Art Of Social Media" by Guy Kawasaki and Peg Fitzpatrick.
This was a book of tricks and tips when dealing with social media. The tips you
could use for personal use or you could use when running a business. This book
was an easy read and honestly my favorite of the three. I really liked how the
information was put in the book. There was a lot of listing that made it easy to
follow the process.
My favorite part of this
book was that it helped me a lot when I first started to blog. When I started
to read this book was the exact same time that I started to write blog posts.
Chapter 3 of this book gave me insight on how to make a "perfect
post" and I shared that with all of you here. Also, another
chapter taught us how to integrate social media with blogging. I was able to use those tips throughout my time blogging
this far. Overall, I would suggest this book to people that are just starting
out on social media on a personal level or also as a business.
The second book I read
was called "Social Media Marketing: Workbook 2018" by Jason McDonald.
This book was also very good. I really liked how they broke things down and I
was able to connect with that was being explained. This book had a chapter for
each of the popular social media sites. Some of my favorite were twitter,
Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. It was really nice for me because I thought
I knew a decent amount about all these sites but when they were broke down I
found out things that surprised me.
In my blog I broke the
chapters down as well and reviewed them. My favorite chapter that I read was
about LinkedIn. I do not know a lot about LinkedIn so in my blog I did a "LinkedIn for Dummies"
review. I liked that book gave me more insight into this popular app. Overall,
I would suggest this book to people that do not know a lot about the popular
apps I named above.
The final book I read
was called "Measure What Matters" by Katie Delahaye Paine. This book
was my least favorite of the three. The only reason I say this because I was
not able to get into it as much as the others ones. This book I found hard to
read because I do not really understand how the measurement system works. As I
read more into the book I was able to catch on and understand but I never
really got excited to read this book.
Although, I did not
personally enjoy it does not mean I would not recommend it to friends. I
honestly think this book would be very helpful to business owners. I say this
because it talks about ROI, measure your employees, crises, nonprofits, and
much much more. I think that this book would great for someone that likes
working with numbers and data. If I am ever maintaining a business I think it
would be helpful for me to reread this one.
I hope you guys enjoyed
my book reviews over the last 15 weeks! Can't wait to jump back in and start my
next book!
