10 Fun Things To Do Around Christmas Time

Christmas time is finally here!!

Here is a list of 10 things you can do around Christmas time with friends and family.

1. Christmas Lights

This is my favorite thing to do around Christmas time. I love looking at the lights and drinking hot chocolate. I usually go to the zoo Christmas lights but those can be expensive. If you don't want to spend money then you can just drive around and look at local lights. 

2. Shop Till You Drop

Christmas time is usually stressful because you don't know what to get for your friends and family. I find it fun to go with a friend or family member and get everything in one day. Make it a fun shopping trip by knowing the deals and what you want from every store. 

3. Bake Cookies

Christmas sugar cookies are the best! I usually have a cookie baking day with my sisters and mom. We spend one day together making cut outs and decorating them. It is very fun and stress relieving. Then we take our cookies and package them to give to neighbors and friends.  

4. Decorate 

Spend time with your family by putting up lights in and around your house! You can put up lights, inflatables, a tree, and wreath. you can put up anything you want to put up to get into the Christmas spirit

5. Christmas Movie Nights

Movie nights you can do whenever but nothing is more fun than watching Christmas movies with hot chocolate and cookies! If you need a good movie go look on Hallmark.  

6. Play In The Snow

Do you want to build a snowman? Building a snowman is something you can do with your friends,  family or by yourself. Go outside and have fun! 

7.  Build Gingerbread Houses

You can make this in to a competition. Have someone be the judge, set a time limit and start building! Winner doesn't have to clean up? 

8. Donate Your Time or Money

During Christmas time there are tons of families that need help. You can donate money, toys or clothes. Also, if you don't have money then you can write letters to a soldier. 

9. Write a Letter to Santa

Even if you are "too old" you can still write a letter to Santa. It still can be fun. I write one and give it right to my mom. Thanks mom!
