The most PERFECT post EVER

Clearly, I am new to this whole blogging thing. I feel as if blogging is a thing that you always say you are going to start doing but never actually get around to it. When I made my first post I actually called my mom and said "remember like six months ago when I told you that I was going to start blogging well I finally made a post." So far blogging is going pretty well for me. The only thing I wish is that I knew more about what would make my blogs stand out. Is there way to make that perfect post that everyone will love and want to read?

I am currently reading a book called "The Art of Social Media." This is written by Guy Kawasaki and Peg Fizpatrick. In Chapter 3 of this book it talks about how to make that perfect post. I am going to review with you some of the information it talks about and see how I am doing so far with making that "perfect post."

1. Be Interesting- This is a hard one. What I think is interesting might be totally different from what some of you think is interesting. In the book it says I need to find out what my followers think are interesting and go from there. So that'll be pretty easy because this is only my third post and I don't have any followers yet. But seriously, what would you guys want to see in my posts?

2. Be Brief- I like this. If you know me, you know that I do not like to write. I just don't think it’s my strong point so most of the time I try to avoid it. Although, I will say that I do not mind writing these posts. I think it is much easier to write when you think the topic is interesting and so far, I am loving each topic I have wrote about on here. The book says that being brief is about 500-1000 words. What am I at right now?

3. Be Organized- This is one is going to be a struggle. Sometime I am not a very organized person. I think that sometimes that can be my biggest weakness. Hopefully, I will be able to keep this blog organized but not only does my blog need to be organized but I think it is also saying that my thoughts need to be organized as well. How do I do that?

These are just three of the many tips they give us throughout this chapter. If you are working or want to work with social media then I would suggest this book. It is an easy read and gives tons of tips and tricks on how to manage social media. As I make my way through this book I will keep you all updated on what I find interesting and also what I feel like could have been left out.

Ps. I hope a future employer never reads this post because I have told you guys that I hate to write and I am not organized. But, if you are an employer looking at this just know that you probably have the wrong Kylie Dickman that went to Ohio Northern University. I heard the other Kylie Dickman loves to write and is very organized....
