BIG (and little) Decisions

I have talked about my journey to Delta Zeta and a little bit about recruitment but I am yet to tell you my favorite part about Delta Zeta.

When I joined this sorority I did not know much about what would happen after Bid Day. How would I get to know my new sisters?

The good news is that Delta Zeta made it very easy to meet my new sisters by having tons of events where we could get together and bond. I met so many girls that I adore. Some that have graduated and moved on from Delta Zeta and others that are still active with me.

During this time I met a group of girls that I now call my sorority family. I know that it is so stereotypical for a sorority girl to love her big and adore her little but I am not lying when I say that I love these girls.

When I first heard that I had to pick someone to be my big, I had no clue what I was going to do. I don't know anyone. Would they even want me as a little? What if I picked the wrong one?

One night I met a girl a year older than me, Sylvia. We bonded over sports, weird things and both being tall. From that night on, I knew who would be my big. Then I met her big, my G, Megan. and GAME OVER. They had my whole heart.

So cool, I have a family, a big and a G that I adore so now what?  Now, it was my turn to be a big! I had no clue how to be a role model and plus how was I ever going to get a girl to like me enough to want me as a big?

Well, I found her, JoAnne. She is the most perfect person I've ever met (I know every big says this but I mean it). I was overwhelmed with joy when I found out I was her big.

Now, I have a perfect family. I thought nothing could make this more perfect but then I met my littlest, Makayla. We clicked right away. From the moment I met her, I knew one day we would be big/little. She is so perfect in everyway.

Maybe this year we will add on to our family once again, but for right now I can say that I have the best sorority family.
